Health Claims Researcher, Healthy Health Secrets

What I do here

I read the marketing page, then I read the study it's pointing at, and I check whether the second one actually says what the first one claims. Most of the time that means finding the real registered trial behind a "clinically studied" claim, checking whether a percentage in an ad matches the underlying research, or reading a vendor's own disclaimer against its own guarantee language. When those things line up, I say so plainly. When they don't, that becomes the actual story on the page.

That process has led to dropping products entirely more than once — not just marking them down, but declining to recommend them at all after finding a claim that didn't hold up under a direct check. See the About page for specifics.

Background

My background is in consumer research and fact-checking, not clinical medicine — I'm not a doctor, and nothing on this site is medical advice. What I bring is the habit of tracing a claim back to its source and being willing to say when the source doesn't back it up, even when that means writing a less exciting page than the vendor would prefer.
